• Ghodbane Hadjer • Khalfallah Norelhouda2024-03-022024-03-022020http://dspace.univ-khenchela.dz:4000/handle/123456789/3000Abstract Theoverallaim ofthisresearchistoinvestigatetheimportanceofusingtherepetitivedrills techniquesinteachingoralexpressionandtoknow towhatextentthesetechniquesare usefulandhelpfulforlearnerstoenhanceanddeveloptheircommunicativecompetence.To meetthisend,amixedmethodsresearchwasfollowedrelyingontwodifferentresearch instrument:aquestionnaireforstudentsandinterviewsforteachers.Aquestionnairewas administeredto(50)fiftystudentswhiletheinterviewwasdonewiththreeteachersoforal expressioncourse.Thecollecteddatawereanalyzedquantitativelyandqualitatively.The resultsofthestudyrevealthatbothEFLteachersandlearnersarefamiliarwiththerepetitive drillstechniques,thefindingsalsoshowthatfirstyearEnglishstudentsaremoreawareand mindfulabouttheimportanceofRDT inimprovingtheiroralproficiency.From another perspective,EFLteachersagreethat usingrepetitivedrillstechniquesisoneofthemost effectiveandbeneficialtoolstoreinforceandamelioratefirstyearEnglishstudent’sspeaking skill.Asarecommendation,Teachersoforalexpressionshoulddotheirbesttoimprove theoralcapacitiesoftheirlearners.Theyoughttovaryteachingstrategies,varyoral activitiesandcarefullyselectthetopicsfordiscussion.enEnhancingStudents'OralProficiencythroughUsingRepetitiveDrills inOralExpressionSessions.
