Elle occupe une place importante en tant que moyen de communication contemporain grâce à son rôle dans l’apprhension du rel . De ce fait la presse crite utilise l’image comme un moyen pour la transmission de l’information , et parmi ces images il y a la photographie sur laquelle repose notre travail de recherche . La photographie est importante et essentielle , en tant que élément efficace dans la diffusion des informations . En effet le prsent travail de recherche a comme objectif d’tudi l’influence de l’image sur le discours journalistique , le cas du quotidien indépendant « Liberté » , la nature du sujet ncessite le recours  l’approche smiotique pour l’analyse et l’interprtation , suite  cette analyse de deux photographie qui sont accompagnés à des discours journalistique , nous avons pu reprer que l’image contribue  l’assimilation et  l’interprtation du discours et que l’image et le discours journalistique sont complmentaires . It occupies an important place as a contemporary means of communication due to its role in the apprehension of reality. Therefore the written press uses the picture as a means for the transmission of information, and among these images there is the photograph on which our research works. Photography is important and essential, as an effective element in the dissemination of information. Indeed this research work aims to study the influence of the image on the journalistic discourse, where the independent daily "Liberté", and the nature of the subject requires the use of semiotic approach to analyzing and interpretation, following the analysis of two photographs that are accompanied with journalistic speech, we could identify the image contributes to the assimilation and interpretation of the speech and the image and journalistic discourse are complementary.
