Dans un premier temps, elle attire son attention, son regard, et très vite elle va le surprendre et le questionner. Cet intérêt en l'image doit être pris en compte dans le domaine de l'enseignement / apprentissage des langues étrangères. En effet, l'utilisation des documents iconiques en classe présente de nombreux avantages; ils sont agréable à l'oeil, source de motivation et facilitant le processus de mémorisation et de compréhension de langues étrangères. L'importance de l'enseignement des langues étrangères et fortement affirmée. L'école doit penser à la question de la médiation entre l'enfant et la langue, pour que cet enseignement soit valorisé. Notre problématique s'inscrit dans ce même cadre de l'organisation de la rencontre entre l'apprenant et la langue étrangère grâce à l'utilisation de l'image comme support médiateur dans l’enseignement/apprentissage du FLE au primaire.
