In order to have an idea of the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the university environment, series of swab samples, from various surfaces (bus, faculty, laboratories), were taken. Many colonies were selected after a cultivation and purification step using different selective agars. The macroscopic, microscopic and biochemical characterization of the isolates obtained led to the identification of 13 Gram-positive and negative bacterial strains (5 Staphylococcus, 1 Micrococcus, 4 Enterobacteria and 3 Non-fermentative bacilli). The evaluation of the resistance profiles of these strains to antibiotics, by diffusion in agar medium, revealed high resistance to Tetracycline and Penicillin for Staphylococci.
