Abstract
Abstract
The current study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using Social Media in
developing EFL learners speaking skill of Second Year LMD students at the section of English in
Abbas Laghrour University o Khenchela. In order to ensure an existing relationship between the
two variables, we hypothesised that EFL learners will enhance their speaking skill if they use
Social Media in an appropriate way. The hypothesis is evaluated by a qualitative approach
deduced from the results of the students’ and teachers’ questionnaires. Hence, the results revealed
that the use of Social Media could help students to improve their speaking skill. Moreover,
according to these results that we have obtained the majority of English’ teachers do not use the
Social Media in delivering their courses but they agree that it has a great effect in developing EFL
learners Speaking Skill. Thus, it is clear that through such results and the conclusions we
achieved, our hypothesis has been confirmed.
