Abstract This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of implementing transmedia storytelling in fostering autonomous learning in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education. To obtain satisfactory results, a true experimental research design was conducted on a sample of 36 third-year pupils at Zerrougui Amar Secondary School-Tebessa, Algeria. Results of the experimental design provided evidence on the efficacy of transmedia storytelling in cultivating learners‟ autonomy.
