Abstract
This module,
"Materials and Introduction to High is structured into two core
parts. The first part focuses on the dielectric, mechanical, and thermal properties
of electrotechnical materials . The second part establishes the fundamental principles of
high voltage , including generation, measurement, breakdown phenomena, and insulation
coordination. The course adopts a practical approach, deconstructing complex power systems
(e.g., transmission lines) into fundam ental components to analyze material behavior and system
protection. It provides the essential foundation for engineers specializing in electrical power
systems.
