Abstract
Abstract Air pollution affects the air quality both indoors and outdoors and generates health problems, especially in the urban area. We take the city of Khenchela as a case study whose main objective is the identification of major sources of point pollution in several parts of the city according to the division related to the civil protection services. In this work, the absence or reduction of aeration in houses is the leading cause of air pollution that can generate human victims. Carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide ranks first as a molecule that can induce point pollution as is the case of 2012 in which the civil protection services intervened 19 times, and the number of deceased was 03 to 30. Then comes the butane gas too whose consequences are not to be neglected due to poor handling of tanks. For this, house ventilation is required, and it is absolutely recommended to perform regular maintenance and monitor the air inlets and outlets, filters and home heating devices, heaters and kitchen stoves by qualified personnel.
