Abstract
The term "prehistory" refers to the chronological period of the existence of humanity,
beginning with the appearance of man and ending with the development of writing.
Prehistory was initially defined as the period between man's appearance and the first
writings' appearance. It is based solely on the analysis of objects discovered during
archaeological excavations. The first furnaces appeared at the same time when the age of
metal began.
