Abstract
Abstract
Nowdays the enviromnent is threatened by the salinity of the water and the soil, which
presents itself as a form of natural pollution much more accentuated by anthropogenic activity,
namely the use of chemical fertilizers, irrigation and sewage infiltration.
The main aquifer is contained in the Mio-Pliocene-Quaternary filling multilayer system of
superficial and deep layers. The hydrochemical approach revealed a mixed facies; namely,
calcium bicarbonate in outcrops that evolved into the chlorinated sodic waters. Multivariate
statistical analysis was able to identify the origin of the salinity of the water by dissolution of
evaporite rocks gypsiferous and licks as well as water pollution.
Finally the contribution of stable isotopes of the water molecule, deuterium and 18 Oxygen, have
highlighted the meteoric recharge origin.
