Abstract
Abstract The wilaya of Biskra is located in the north-east of the northern Sahara and contains significant groundwater resources and superficial. These waters are contained in the different layers of the terminal complex and the intercalary continental. As well as the waters of dams and wadis. In recent years, economic development, particularly agricultural, has taken place, which has led to an increase in the demand for irrigation water as well as the demand for drinking water. In this study we are interested in the analysis of the long-term effectiveness (2050) of the current water resources management policy, and compared it to a water demand management policy, with a hydrological modeling approach on WEAP (Water Evaluation and Planning). The results show that the region's water resources are increasingly exploited. In which agriculture is the big consumer sector of water, without forgetting the demographic growth. The efforts of mobilization of water resources will reach their physical and economic limits the concentration in the coming years must move towards the management of demand for water.
