Abstract :
This study aimed to identify the impact of digital activity on the
effectiveness of boycott campaigns against products supporting the Zionist
entity. The study relied on the descriptive approach and used the electronic
questionnaire as a data collection tool. The field study sample consisted of 127
individuals who were actual users of digital platforms. We reached several
results, the most important of which are: - This study showed a clear impact of digital activity on the awareness and
perception of the study sample of the existence of boycott campaigns at a
rate of 98.4%, and of the existence of these campaigns through their use
of digital platforms. - The study found that digital platforms increased the study sample's
knowledge of boycott campaigns for products supporting the Zionist
entity by 51.2%.
- The results showed that the study sample participated in digital activity on
average, at 53.5%, by interacting with posts with admiration and sharing,
wanting to express their support for the cause and using the boycott as a
weapon of sympathy and support - The results showed that there is a clear effect of repeated exposure to
digital content for the study sample in boycotting a large number of
products, especially food (food and beverages in particular) by 78%,
especially during the Al-Aqsa Flood period 2023. - The study participants engaged with digital boycott initiatives, as
evidenced by a real-life manifestation of the boycott in action. These
campaigns are considered a strong incentive to boycott some products that
support the Zionist entity, at a rate of 46.5%.
