| dc.description.abstract | انطلاقا من فكرة الإعلام كأداة للكشف عن الإنتهاكات؛ تَحَوَّلَ الصحفيون إلى طرف غير مرغوب فيه، و طالتهم العمليات العسكرية بالإستهداف وصلت إلى حد تصفيتهم جسديا، و هو ما أجمعت عليه أغلب تقارير و تحقيقات العديد من المنظمات الدولية خاصة غير الحكومية منها، التي أكدت على استفحال ظاهرة استهداف الصحفيين العاملين في مناطق النزاعات المسلحة بالنظر للدور المهم الذي يؤدونه. أمام التزايد المستمر لوتيرة النزاعات المسلحة و إفرازها عديد المشاكل الإنسانية، و وصول الإنتهاكات التي تطال حقوق الإنسان بمن فيهم الصحفيين درجة عالية من الجسامة أضحت تهديدا للسلم و الأمن الدوليين، كان لزاما على مجلس الأمن الدولي؛ التدخل مراعاة للبعد الانساني في إطار الصلاحيات المخولة له بموجب الميثاق الأمميه Based on the idea of the media as a tool for uncovering violations; Journalists turned into an undesirable party, and military operations targeted them, even to the point of physically killing them.
