T this research presents an investigation about the American dream, if it is a reality or a myth, and to show the unraveled side of the ideology, also how can media cause a secondhand transfer to immigration and its role in drawing and glorifying the concept of the American dream, and show how the media has the power to change and influence one’s personality by facing the American culture indirectly and cause him or her an identity crisis. This paper aims to raise awareness to EFL learners about the circle of illusion that the American dream puts people into, and break the perfect image that the media created in movies, social media …, and revile the mask of the perfect concept of the American dream and the American principals. Using a psychoanalysis of the movie “MINARI” to highlight the effect of the American dream on people’s lives, and how it is possible could be a reason why some people feel challenged by American culture and how it is possible can cause them an identity crisis. Meeting with a questionnaire with the students of Abbes laghrour university and its analysis and foundlings.
