Additionally, it examines how he opened a new wave for other R&B musicians. Our research focuses on analysing some of The Weeknd‘s songs. The content analysis of songs has been examined in detail in the lyrics, the mixtapes, the music videos, and the literary motifs. We have also paid attention to examining how he expresses melancholy and despair in his music. By the end of this research, we have understood that his music lyrics have not only revolutionized R&B music but also resonated with our generation. His influence goes deeper than just music, he is an outspoken advocate for social activism and racial equality. Keywords: The Weeknd - R&B - Mixtapes - Melancholy- Social activism
