Summary An inventory of hospital waste management in the Hihi Abdel Madjid hospital of KAIS (Khenchela) was carried out in this study. The first part is a descriptive study of the conditions of management of the different categories of hospital waste within the different services of the EPH of Kais in order to put in place adequate strategies for disposal. The second part is a survey of hospital staff, through the distribution of questionnaires in order to know their behavior vis-à-vis hospital waste, and their suggestions for improving the management of care activity waste. (DAS). We noted the absence of an effective and well-established management plan at this health facility. A negative diagnosis concerning the means of pre-collection, storage and transport conditionswasnoted in this hospital. A management plan in simplified and captioned form hasbeen proposed in order to properly manage hospital waste. Through this plan, we have put in place circuits for the healthy and risk-free disposal of medical waste in order to facilitate the work of those responsible for managing medical waste and to ensure the cleanliness of the hospital and the various segments of the environment.
