Abstract
Biomonitoring of atmospheric pollution by Cupressus sempervirens L.
The study is carried out in the area of Ain mimoun by limiting the map of the study area using GPS and GIS
software (Arc GIS version 10.1) where the forest is subject to industrial constraints of operating barite factoryThe cypress is a tree used for its property of indicator of the presence of pollutants in the ecosphere. We made a
sampling of cypress needles in different sites, for analyzing a biochemical parameter at a laboratory of the
Faculty of natural sciences and life. The chlorophyllian contents changes between the polluted sites was foundFollowing a continuous exposure to an environment of pollution in the study area, the results reveals low
chlorophyll concentrations in the stations considered most subjected to pollution. These contents differenormously from sites. It is high at site S1 and S4 but low in stations S2 and S3, which considered pollutedSpecifically, atmospheric pollution in the area of study is alarming and the consequences would be an abioticstress at cypress trees can lead to deterioration.
