Abstract The amount of waste generated each year in the world is enormous and more than half of it is in the form of organic waste that can be transformed into agricultural amendments that fertilize degraded land and even substitute the use of chemical fertilizers in some cases. In our study we have chosen to work on wastes of two different origins, all valorized in agriculture; (i) agricultural organic wastes which contain manure, poultry droppings, fish wastes and (ii) non-agricultural organic wastes, it is about sludge and waters treated by the two WWTP of Ain Baida (wilaya of Oum El Bouaghi) and Kais (wilaya of Khenchela), compost, biochar and sediment. The results showed a great difference between the types of waste and even for the same type of waste of two different origins as the case of sludge and water treated by the two WWTPs of Ain Baida and Kais.
