Parliamentary interpellation is considered one of the most important oversight mechanisms exercised by Parliament over the government’s actions. It aims to hold members of the executive authority accountable for their conduct and public policies. Interpellation is characterized by its serious nature, as it often includes criticism or accusations regarding governmental actions, which may lead to a vote of no confidence against the government or a minister. It also contributes to reinforcing the principle of separation of powers, promoting transparency, and protecting the public interest. However, its effectiveness depends on the independence of Parliament and the existence of genuine political will to activate parliamentary oversight
