Abstract
ملخص:
تسعى هذه الدراسة الموسومة ب : استلهام التاريخ في رواية "وادي الظلام" لعبد الملك مرتاض إلى الكشف عن مدى توظيف التاريخ والتراث فيها باعتبارهما ركيزة الشعوب وذاكرتها التي لا يمكن نسيانها، حيث أن الرواية الجزائرية، قد تميزت منذ نشأتها بحسن تصويرها الواقع الجزائري خاصة إبان الاستعمار الفرنسي والعشرية السوداء.
ولتحقيق هذا المسعى قسم البحث إلى مقدمة وفصلين خص الفصل الأول منه بتوضيح بعض المفاهيم النظرية التي وردت في عنوان البحث، ثم توجه البحث إلى العمل التطبيقي في الفصل الثاني منه، حيث قدمنا فيه أهم الثيمات الموضوعية الواردة في الرواية كموضوع الاستعمار، وموضوع العشرية السوداء، ثم تطرقنا إلى أهم الشخصيات التاريخية التي اشتغل الدكتور "مرتاض" على توظيفها في الرواية، كما بينا أيضا دور الشخصيات المتخيلة والتي أسهمت بشكل واضح في ترابط البنية الفنية للرواية وعناصرها، كما حاولنا بيان أهم التقنيات الزمانية المعتمدة فيها كالاستباق والاسترجاع والمشهد، والحذف والوقفة، ثم بينا علاقة الشخصية بالمكان بصفته بؤرة الأحداث، وما له من ايجابية أو سلبية في نفوس الشخصيات كما كانت لنا التفاتة إلى أهم الملامح التراثية المادية واللامادية التي تزينت بها الرواية، والتي أعطت لمسة فنية واقعية تبين لنا من خلالها استثمار الروائي لحمولته التراثية لينتهي بحثنا بخاتمة رصدنا فيها أهم النتائج المتوصل إليها.

Abstract:
This study titled "The Use of History in the Novel 'Valley of Darkness' by
Abdelmalek Meretaz as a Model" aims to reveal the extent to which history and
heritage are utilized in the work, considering them as the foundation of peoples
and their memory that cannot before gotten. The Algerian novel has been
characterized since its inception by its effective portrayal of the Algerian reality,
especially during the French colonial period and the dark decade.
To achieve this goal, the research is divided into an introduction and two
chapters. The first chapter clarifies some theoretical concepts mentioned in the
title of the research. The second chapter shifts to the practical work, where we
present the main thematic issues addressed in the novel, such as the subject of
colonization and the topic of the dark decade. We also discuss the key historical
figures that Dr. Meretaz employs in the novel and highlight the role of fictional
characters that significantly contribute to the cohesion of the narrative structure
and its elements.
Additionally, we attempt to illustrate the main temporal techniques used in
the novel, such as foreshadowing, flashbacks, scenes, omission, and pauses. We
explore the relationship between characters and place as a driving force for
events, examining its positive or negative impacts on the characters' psyche.
Lastly, we take note of the key tangible and intangible heritage features that
adorn the novel, which provide a realistic artistic touch demonstrating how the
novelist has utilized his cultural heritage. The research concludes with a
summary of the main findings.
