| dc.description.abstract | Abstract Much of the current research interest is in the study of medicinal plant compounds and their therapeutic and pharmaceutical effects. Moringa oleifera shrub belongs to the Moringaceae family. It is a medicinal plant widely used in traditional medicine for therapeutic purposes because of its richness in active compounds. In the present study, an attempt was made to evaluate the antibacterial activity of extracts from the leaves of Moringa oleifera based on the various studies carried out on the plant. The results show the richness of the leaf extracts in phenolic compounds, terpenoids, tannins, flavonoids; this is confirmed by the quantitative analyses based on the dosage, phenolic compounds and flavonoids. The results of the experimental work reveal that Moringa extracts exerted a considerable antibacterial effect on several bacterial strains; S. aureus, E.coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and others with inhibition zones of around the discs of the extracts, which explains the sensitivity of the tested species to this extract. From the results obtained it can be said that the leaves of Moringa oleifera constitute a source of antibacterial activity thanks to their richness in phenolic compounds. الملخص ينصب الكثير من الاهتمام البحثي الحالي على دراسة مركبات النباتات الطبية وتأثيراتها العلاجية والصيدلانية. تنتمي شجيرة المورينجا أوليفيرا إلى عائلة المورينجا وهو نبات طبي يستخدم على نطاق واسع في الطب التقليدي للأغراض العلاجية بسبب غناه بالمركبات الفعالة. في هذه الدراسة ، تم إجراء محاولة لتقييم النشاط المضاد للبكتيريا لمستخلصات أوراق نبات المورينجا أوليفيرا من دراسات مختلفة أجريت على النبات. أظهرت النتائج ثراء مستخلصات الأوراق بالمركبات الفينولية ، التربينويدات ، العفص ، الفلافونويد. هذا ما تؤكده التحليلات الكمية على أساس الجرعة، الفينولات والفلافونيدات. أظهرت نتائج العمل التجريبي أن مستخلصات المورينجا لها تأثير كبير مضاد للجراثيم على العديد من السلالات البكتيرية. S. aureus و E.coli و Pseudomonas aeruginosa وغيرها مع مناطق تثبيط حول أقراص المستخلصات مما يفسر حساسية الأنواع المختبرة لهذا المستخلص. من النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها، يمكننا القول إن أوراق المورينجا أوليفيرا تشكل مصدرًا للنشاط المضاد للبكتيريا بفضل ثرائها في المركبات الفينولية. | |
