dc.description.abstractAbstract It is fascinating how technology is becoming a fundamental part of our lives,nowadays.A social network (SN) usage is growing day by day,students develop their own way of communication (CM) using these platforms.This process,allowed students modern way of communication using a new formula of language.Thus,delivering the exact intended meaning requires new linguistic performances,strategies,styles,and choices to be made by students.This research aims to describe the changes that occurred in the language due to its use in the virtual world.Social network should be an important factor in determining language change by leading to creat a modern language style. This study investigates the changes occurring in the language(whether within its forms or functions)due to the use of social networks(SNs) , and if students actually affects the language they use,or not.This research adopts descriptive case study methodology.The accessible population of this study is Master One students(176)from The Departement of English Language and Culture at Khenchela University from which a sample of 60 is selected using random sample technique.To reach the research objectives ,a questionnaire has been used as an instrument.Additionally,the obtained data are analyzed, results show that SNs come up with a modern communication way that influences language and brings even a new vocabulary.Some recommendations are suggested,regarding the fact that Fcb is becoming a serious generator of language use,in order to adapt SNs sites to serve the language.
