| dc.description.abstract | Abstract : A serious problem for hydrological studies in our country is the lack of hydrometric measurements, a large number of watersheds in Algeria without gauging stations, which makes it difficult to assess liquid and solid yieldsand forces us to resort to empiricalmethods and models, the application of the latter is always doubtful because of the errors related to the models themselves in addition to the errors relating to the parameters used. In semi-arid areas, spatiotemporal irregularity and low rainfall further aggravates the problem. In this study we will apply the different models commonly used in Algeria, the formulas thus referenced are applied to evaluate the annual and interannual (liquid and solid) contributions of the Chat el-Baydhaa watershed, using the characteristics of the basin and rainfall data over a 35-year period from 1986-2021. It was possible to evaluate the liquid and solid yields and to plot the flood hydrographs for return periods of 5,10,50 and 100 years. The results obtained by each model are satisfactory | |
