Abstract
الملخص:
يمثل هذا البحث محاولة لفهم النظرة الغربية لشخصية الأمير عبد القادر الجزائري ومقاومته، من خلال استقراء معطيات أهم مصدرين غربيين عن هاته الشخصية، كتابات الكولونيل اسكوت وشارل هنري تشرشل، كجزء من مساعي أكبر تتمثل في النظر لتاريخ هذه الشخصية ومنجزاتها من زوايا متعددة، وصولا لفهم عميق وشامل وغير انحيازي لحقبة لامعة من تاريخ الجزائر.
وتستعرض هذه الدراسة كيفية تأثير هذه المقاومة على العلاقات الدولية في ذلك الوقت، وكيفية تفاعل العالم مع النضال الجزائري ضد الاستعمار الفرنسي وبالتحديد خلال فترة المقاومات الشعبية، تعزيزا لقيم التواصل الحضاري والتاريخي بين الشعوب والأمم، لتصل في الختام لإعطاء تصور غير نمطي لشخصية الأمير واستراتيجياته في مقاومة المحتل الفرنسي، وفهم البعد الفكري والحضاري الذي أراده من بعث مقاومة شعبية ذائعة الصيت.
Abstract:
This research delves into the intricate realm of Western perceptions of Emir Abdelkader, the illustrious Algerian leader and his valiant resistance against French colonialism. Through a meticulous analysis of two pivotal Western sources, the writings of Colonel Scott and Charles Henry Churchill, the study aims to decipher the multifaceted narratives surrounding this remarkable historical figure. This endeavor forms an integral part of a broader pursuit to examine Emir Abdelkader's legacy and accomplishments from diverse perspectives, ultimately striving for a profound, comprehensive, and unbiased understanding of a luminous era in Algerian history.
The study meticulously examines the impact of Emir Abdelkader's resistance on the intricate tapestry of international relations during that era. It sheds light on the world's engagement with the Algerian struggle against French colonization, particularly during the period of popular uprisings. The study underscores the significance of fostering cross-cultural and historical dialogue among nations, culminating in a nuanced portrayal of Emir Abdelkader's persona and the astute strategies he employed in confronting the French occupier. Furthermore, it illuminates the intellectual and civilizational dimensions that Emir Abdelkader sought to embody through the galvanization of a widespread popular resistance movement.
