Abstract This research explores relationships in classroom, specifically interactions between teachers and students; this interaction has an important effect on students’ attitudes and achievement. Initially, the research examined an overview of teacher-student relationships and factors that contribute to these interactions. This overview included both teacher and student perceptions and personal characteristics and then examined the effect of teacher-student relationships on promoting EF learners’ oral skills and how teacher and student behaviors affect educational outcomes. The aim of this research is to investigate whether fostering positive relationships between teachers and students effects on students’ academic achievement. To achieve this goal we used a mixed method quantitative case study and a qualitative research method, analyzing the impact of teacher-student relationship on learner’s academic achievement. The results show that teachers and students value a supportive and caring relationship between them and interaction is essential to the teacher-student relationship.
