Abstract
Résumé :
« Pourquoi les étudiants ignorent t-ils l’utilisation des signes de ponctuation dans leurs
écrits ?»
Ce mémoire répond à cette question à la lumière d’une enquête par questionnaire faite
auprès des étudiants de la deuxième année Licence Français Université Abess Laghrour-
Khenchela.
Nous postulons que la ponctuation est indispensable pour l’interprétation d’un message
écrit.
Ce travail se compose de deux parties : la partie théorique a pour objectif de présenter les
principaux aspects concernant la ponctuation.
Nous avons procédé à une analyse des questionnaires destinés aux étudiants dans la partie
pratique afin de confirmer ou d’infirmer nos hypothèses
A l’issue de cette expérience nous avons confirmé que les étudiants ignorent l’usage des
signes de ponctuation dans leurs productions écrites car ces derniers ne maitrisent pas
totalement le système de ponctuation.

"Why do students ignore the use of punctuation in their writings?"
This dissertation answers to this question in the light of a survey by a questionnairy made
with students of the second year French University Abess Laghrour-Khenchela.
We postulate that punctuation is essential for the interpretation of a written message.
This work consists of two parts: the theoretical part aims to present the main aspects
concerning the punctuation.
The practical part aimed to confirm or invalidate our hypotheses; we have carried out an
analysis of the questionnaires intended for the students.
At the end of this experiment, we confirmed that the students do not know the use of
punctuation in their writings if they do not completely control the punctuation system.
