Abstract
In an era where food safety and sustainable agriculture dominate international trade discussions,
Algerian farmers face unprecedented challenges in accessing premium export markets. The
apple sector, representing one of Algeria's most promising agricultural commodities, remains
severely underrepresented in European and Middle Eastern markets due to non-compliance
with GlobalGAP standards - the world's most recognized certification for good agricultural
practices.
