Abstract
يُعدّ الأمن الغذائي أحد التحديات الرئيسية التي تواجه العالم العربي، حيث يتشكّل فاتورة تأمينية عبئًا اقتصاديًا كبيرًا، لا سيما على دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي التي تعتمد بشكل أساسي على الاستيراد لتلبية احتياجاتها الغذائية. ويتطلب هذا الوضع البحث عن استراتيجيات فعّالة لتعزيز الأمن الغذائي وتحقيق الاستدامة في هذا المجال.
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى توضيح المفاهيم النظرية المتعلقة بالأمن الغذائي، مع التركيز على دراسة حالة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي. كما تُسلّط الضوء على الاستراتيجيات المختلفة التي تعتمدها هذه الدول لتعزيز أمنها الغذائي، والتي تشمل الاستثمار في الزراعة داخل وخارج ، وتطوير تقنيات الزراعة الحديثة، وتحسين كفاءة إدارة الموارد المائية، وتعزيز البحث العلمي والابتكار في مجالات الأمن الغذائي
و تُظهر الدراسة أن هذه الاستراتيجيات تمثل خطوات أساسية نحو تقليل الاعتماد على الواردات الغذائية وتحقيق قدر أكبر من الاكتفاء الذاتي، مع التأكيد على أهمية الإرادة السياسية في تبني سياسات طويلة الأمد تعزز استدامة الأمن الغذائي في المنطقة.
Food security is one of the main challenges facing the Arab world, as ensuring it imposes a significant economic burden—especially on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which rely heavily on imports to meet their food needs. This situation necessitates the exploration of effective strategies to enhance food security and achieve sustainability in this field.
This study aims to clarify the theoretical concepts related to food security, with a focus on the case of the GCC countries. It also highlights the various strategies these countries adopt to strengthen their food security, including investing in agriculture both domestically and abroad, developing modern agricultural technologies, improving the efficiency of water resource management, and promoting scientific research and innovation in food security sectors.
The study shows that these strategies represent essential steps toward reducing dependence on food imports and achieving a greater degree of self-sufficiency, while emphasizing the importance of political will in adopting long-term policies that promote the sustainability of food security in the region.
