Item MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY(2026) Djelailia , OkbaMaintenance and reliability have become essential pillars in the management and performance of modern industrial systems. As industrial assets grow in complexity and operational demands increase, the ability to ensure equipment availability, safety, and long-term performance is no longer optional but a strategic necessity. This course has presented a structured and progressive framework for understanding maintenance as an integrated engineering function closely linked to reliability and asset management. Throughout the module, the maintenance function was introduced as a key contributor to industrial efficiency, evolving from reactive corrective actions to structured preventive and predictive strategies. By analyzing maintenance concepts, strategies, and standards, students gained a clear understanding of how maintenance decisions impact operational continuity, cost control, and equipment life cycle. A detailed examination of failure mechanisms, failure modes, and their causes highlighted the importance of understanding how systems degrade over time. This analysis demonstrated that failures are rarely random events but rather the result of progressive deterioration influenced by technical, operational, environmental, and human factors. Such knowledge forms the foundation for effective maintenance planning and reliability improvement. Quantitative maintenance analysis tools were then introduced to support objective and rational decision-making. Reliability concepts, system configurations, reliability indices, and prioritization methods such as ABC analysis and criticality matrices provided students with practical tools to evaluate system performance and allocate maintenance resources efficiently. These methods reinforce the transition from intuition-based maintenance to data-driven engineering decisions. The course also emphasized fault diagnosis and root cause analysis as essential processes for identifying, isolating, and eliminating the underlying sources of failures. By combining diagnostic tools with structured analysis methods, maintenance activities can move beyond temporary repairs toward sustainable reliability improvement. Finally, predictive analysis of failures illustrated the role of condition monitoring and early failure detection in modern maintenance strategies. By anticipating failures and integrating predictive maintenance into maintenance planning, organizations can significantly reduce unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance costs, and enhance overall system reliability. In conclusion, this module has provided students with a coherent and comprehensive understanding of maintenance and reliability engineering. It equips future professionals with the conceptual knowledge and analytical tools necessary to manage industrial assets effectively, support informed maintenance decisions, and contribute to the performance, reliability, and sustainability of industrial systems.Item Materials and Introduction to High Voltage(Faculty of Science and Technology KHENCHELA, 2026) NADJEM. AbdelkaderThis module, "Materials and Introduction to High is structured into two core parts. The first part focuses on the dielectric, mechanical, and thermal properties of electrotechnical materials . The second part establishes the fundamental principles of high voltage , including generation, measurement, breakdown phenomena, and insulation coordination. The course adopts a practical approach, deconstructing complex power systems (e.g., transmission lines) into fundam ental components to analyze material behavior and system protection. It provides the essential foundation for engineers specializing in electrical power systems.
