Item A Machine Learning-Based Approach for Managing Cyber-Physical Systems(2024) Ouassila, HioualThe increasing prevalence of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) demands adaptive systems capable of responding to dynamic environmental changes. Traditionally, ensuring quality of service in CPS involves pre-planned activities at design time, posing challenges in highly dynamic contexts. This thesis investigates the integration of Machine Learning (ML) to bolster CPS adaptability, emphasizing security and privacy. The primary objective is to employ ML algorithms for real-time monitoring and dynamic adaptation of CPS behavior in response to environmental changes. Key contributions of this thesis encompass a meta-model for adaptive CPS, providing a conceptual foundation to comprehend and model interactions within CPS. In the second contribution, a ML-based architecture is proposed, enhancing CPS functionalities, including data and resource management, fault prediction, and proactive maintenance. A novel Collaborative ML-based architecture, founded on the second contribution, is introduced, highlighting scalability, security, heightened data privacy, and its suitability for resource-constrained environments. This Collaborative ML approach encompasses Federated Machine Learning (FML) and Split Machine Learning (SML). Validation is conducted through a case study on fault prediction in industrial CPS, and the experimentation results showcase promising outcomes. KItem A New Approach to the Quality Control Process in Industry 4.0(2025) Nadia HoggasIn the realm of traditional manufacturing, statistical metrology serves as a fundamental pillar for evaluating product quality after the production line. In contrast, the rise of smart manufacturing has revolutionized a reactive measurement process to a proactive and essential element of production. This evolution is crucial for ensuring that products consistently meet contemporary quality standards throughout the manufacturing cycle. Furthermore, the advent of Industry 4.0 marks a profound shift in organizational dynamics, underscoring the critical need for cultural transformation that emphasizes collaboration, agility, and continuous learning. This research highlights the importance of fostering partnerships between businesses, academic institutions, and governmental entities to drive the evolution of Industry 4.0. These collaborations facilitate the integration of new technologies, promote research and development, and create a thriving ecosystem that nurtures innovation, thus ensuring the democratization of technological benefits across industries and communities. This thesis aims to present a comprehensive and systematic approach that seeks to optimize the Six Sigma methodology by evolving it into a proactive system. Hence, we examine the Six Sigma methodology, known for its rigorous approach to process improvement, which includes a suite of statistical tools aimed at reducing errors and enhancing quality. This study presents an innovative adaptation of Six Sigma that incorporates modern statistical techniques and integrates cutting-edge technologies to address quality challenges in diverse sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, and education. Central to this advancement is the introduction of a new approach that combines Six Sigma’s core principles with AI-driven quality control and decision-making optimization. This approach is designed to be scalable, adaptable, and flexible, ensuring its relevance in the context of digital transformation and its applicability across various industries. Through the development of the 5I approach, this research proposes a dynamic and forward-thinking approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence, enabling organizations to preemptively address challenges and enhance their overall performance. Focusing on organization-centered MAS development, we investigate how structured agent interactions, combined with artificial learning techniques, can enhance system robustness, scalability, and responsiveness to dynamic contexts. We leverage the Moise organizational modeling language and the JaCaMo framework to create a unified platform for developing and managing MAS, integrating agents, their environment, and organizational governance. This approach allows us to model complex social structures, define roles and norms, and specify collective goals, thereby facilitating coordinated agent behavior and adaptation to changing circumstances. The efficacy of our approach is demonstrated through two distinct case studies. The first addresses the timely prediction of COVID-19 infections by leveraging Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) data and a distributed multi-agent architecture incorporating machine learning algorithms. The second applies our framework to the challenging problem of real-time course timetable scheduling, demonstrating its adaptability to dynamic constraints and resource allocation. Our findings highlight the transformative potential of combining organizational paradigms with artificial learning in MAS, laying the foundation for more intelligent and adaptive AmI systems across diverse domainsItem Analyses XPS, FTIR, XRD, EDX, et Observations MEB des oxydes formés sur le superalliage PM2000 pour les températures comprises entre 873 et 1473 K.(Djebaili Kenza, 2015-09-29) Djebaili KenzaItem Approches basées sur l'intelligence en essaim pour l'analyse des sentiments interprétable(2024) BEKHOUCHE MAAMARItem ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BASED APPROACH FOR IOT SERVICES COMPOSITION BY ANALYZING THE USER NEEDS(Rabah BOUCETTI, 2023)In the Internet of Things (IoT) environment, the services provided by the connected objects are published as services through the web. This allows to machines to interact between them and, makes the IoT services composition possible. However, the vast proliferation of smart object generates services with the same functionalities but different in terms of quality of services (QoS) proprieties. This makes the satisfaction of the user requirements often complex and a NP-hard problem. Indeed, respecting the QoS constraints (user preferences in terms of QoS) is a challenge, due to the high number of candidate services for the composition. This challenge consists of selecting the most appropriate services so that the composite service must meet both the functional and the non-functional requirements of the user. To deal with this challenge, we propose an approach based on Genetic Algorithms (GA) and Neural Networks (NN) for QoS-aware IoT Services Composition in the context of large-scale environments. The combination between GA and NN allows finding the quasi-optimal IoT service composition. This latter is based on global QoS optimization. To reach this objective, the QoS intervals are decomposed into M QoS-levels to engage them into the theoretical composition. Then, the proposed first GA is used to obtain the ideal theoretical composition with an overall QoS optimization. Afterward, the proposed NN is used to eliminate the inappropriate concrete IoT services, and retain only the services having the same categories of the atomic theoretical services composing the ideal theoretical composition. This allows us to optimize the search space as well as the execution time. Finally, we apply the second GA on the concrete services of the retained categories, in order to obtain the IoT service concrete composition with an overall QoS optimization. The simulation results show that the proposed approach has the best composition time, the best Hypervolume indicator and the best compositional optimality compared to SC-FLA, Improved GA and MGA approaches. On another side, it has almost the same performances compared to TS-QCA and, it finds the nearoptimal composition in a very short time compared to PSA, which is an optimal approach. Thus, the obtained results show the effectiveness of our approach.Item Asymptotic Stability of an Epidemic Reaction-Diffusion model(Lamia Djebara, 2021) Lamia DjebaraThe purpose of this thesis is to study two types of problems, the question of global existence and global asymptotic stability of solutions of epidemic reaction-diffusion models. For the first, we establish a result on the global existence in time of the solutions of a class of disease epidemics systems, our techniques of proof are based on Lyapunov functional method. The asymptotic behavior of these solutions via a Lyapunov functional in particular case and under suitable conditions on the non-linearity we contribute to the study of the behaviour of the solutions. As for the second problem through, we calculate the basic reproduction number of reaction-diffusion epidemic phenomena and by analyzing the eigenvalues and an appropriately constructed Lyapunov functional we establish both locally and globally in the ODE and PDE cases, with giving numerical analysis examples of the two problems.Item Authentication protocols in internet of things(2026) Zerraza, ImaneThe Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing the field of information technology, establishing itself across various sectors, from smartwatches to automated factories. It simplifies daily life and provides significant value to both individuals and businesses. However, the diversity of connected devices, which utilize different technologies and have limited resources, presents major security challenges. This thesis aims to design new secure protocols to ensure the authentication of connected objects, addressing the lack of solutions adapted to the diverse standards, infrastructures, and platforms within the IoT ecosystem. This thesis aims to design an innovative authentication and access control mechanism specifically tailored for IoT edge environments. The proposed approach is intended to support networks composed of a large number of nodes, optimizing data transmission under bandwidth constraints by leveraging the lightweight ChaCha20 symmetric encryption algorithm for secure session key establishment. A key objective is to enhance identity management and access control by integrating the HoBAC framework with blockchain technology, thereby promoting greater precision, scalability, and trust across distributed edge nodes. In parallel, the thesis seeks to maintain a unified and efficient encryption strategy throughout the edge network by consistently using the ChaCha20 algorithm for session key generation. The overall goal is to develop an authentication scheme that ensures mutual authentication and secure communication among key IoT components, including sensor nodes, remote users, and edge servers. Item Carleman Inequalities for singular Parabolic Equations and Applications(2026) Hichem, RamoulThis thesis is devoted to the study of inverse source problems for singular and degenerate parabolic equations, including time-fractional diffusion models. Such problems arise naturally in many applications, but they are intrinsically ill-posed due to the smoothing effects of diffusion and, in the present setting, the presence of inverse-square singular potentials. These singularities destroy uniform ellipticity and require refined analytical tools to recover stability and uniqueness. The first part of the thesis adopts an optimal control perspective to address inverse source identification problems. The unknown source is treated as a control variable and recovered as the minimizer of a suitable cost functional involving final-time observations. Under subcritical assumptions on the singular potential, we establish the well-posedness of the direct problem in appropriate weighted Sobolev spaces, prove the existence of optimal controls, and derive stability estimates for the inverse problem. Numerical reconstruction algorithms based on iterative regularization methods are proposed and validated through computational experiments. The analysis is then extended to time-fractional diffusion equations with inverse-square potentials. In this setting, the nonlocal nature of fractional time derivatives introduces additional analytical and numerical challenges. Nevertheless, uniqueness results for the inverse source problem are obtained, and numerical simulations illustrate the influence of the fractional order and noise on the reconstruction process. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the study of Carleman inequalities for singular parabolic operators. We develop a shifted Carleman framework adapted to operators with interior inverse-square singularities and establish several key intermediate estimates. While the complete global Carleman inequality is not yet achieved, the analytical structure is clearly identified, and the main technical difficulties—particularly those related to localization arguments and Caccioppoli-type inequalities with singular weights—are thoroughly analyzed. This work lays the foundation for ongoing research conducted in collaboration with the supervisor.Item Composés hybrides et complexes organométalliques à base d’amines et de bases azotées.(2016-12-13) Radhwane TakouachetItem Composés organiques à transfert de protons: Synthèse, Caractérisation et étude théorique des sites de protonation(2020) FALEK WahibaThe title compounds are two proton-transfer materials resulting from reactions between créatinine and two carboxylic acids: fumaric acid, to form créatininium fumarate fumaric (BCFF), and trimesic acid, to give créatininium 3,5-dicarboxybenzoate monohydrate(CTMA). The title compounds crystallize in a centrosymmetric space groups P21/c (BCFF) and P-1(CTMA). Moreover, the crystal structures are primarily stabilized through intramolecular N—H···O and O—H···O hydrogen bonds and intermolecular C—H···O. The structural similarities and subtle differences have been interpreted in view of the 3D Hirshfeld surface analysis and associated 2D fingerprint plots, which enabled detailed qualitative and quantitative insight into the intermolecular interactions. The results of the theoretically predicted structural parameters and vibrational frequencies are in good agreements with the experimental investigations. These results show that both compounds exhibit similar features, however the energy gap between HOMO and LUMO obtained from the molecular orbital analysis indicates that compound (BCFF) is characterized by a molecular structural more favourable for charge transfer.
