Cartographie du risque d’inondation en zone semi-aride : cas du bassin versant d’oued Meskiana (Oum el Bouaghi – Algérie)
(Université Abbes Laghrour -Khenchela-, 2019) ELHANI Semah; KACHA Naama
Abstract: The aim of this work is the identification and mapping of areas at risk of flooding in the Oued Meskiana watershed located east of Oum El-Bouaghi .This work is based on the integration of data from satellite images, digital terrain model (DTM), hydrological and geological data into a geographic information system (GIS). The main factors taken into account in this study are : slope, altitude, soil texture, drainage density, land use and population density. The spatial analysis carried out in a GIS allowed developing the flood risk map of the watershed. The risk map obtained has five classes ranging from very low to very high flood risk. Areas located along Oued Meskiana from upstream to downstream are more exposed to flood risk.
