Abstract : Human activities (agriculture and urbanization) have a severe impact on the environment quality , the assessment of the state of pollution is the subject of our study, the Babar dam is among the water bodies affected by pollution of anthropogenic origin, five stations were monitored three months during the spring season The results of water analysis show that the Babar dam is subject to the inputs of agricultural activities by the different forms of phosphates and municipal discharges into neighboring towns, In terms of nutrients, we notice that the dam is highly polluted by total nitrogen, and total dissolved nitrogen and nitrous nitrogen, and term of particulate organic matter, but we note the presence of nitrogen pollution by the nitrogen forms, the dam is very rich in COP and MES, which favors primary production processes, from an environmental point of view we can say that phosphorus is the trigger of the eutrophication phenomenon in the pedant dam during the monitoring period.
