ABSTRACT The assessment of the physico-chemical and microbiological quality of the waters and the characteristics of Oued El-Kissane d'El-Hamma of a length of six kilometers was our mission in this brief. To identify sources of pollution and risks to human activities such as that the waste water discharged without any prior treatment and the waste of the population and their activities that are discharged into the wadi all negatively affects the quality of the wadi water, and propose recommendations and solutions for its protection. The study we conducted began with physico-chemical and bacteriological analyses in the laboratory of six water samples. The interpretation of the analysis results has allowed us to identify three types of pollution, Organic, mineral and bacteriological due to the anthropogenic activities characterizing the city of El-Hamma, we have found that thermal waters are also a source of ammonium pollution, we insist the importance of continuous monitoring of the quality of the waters of Oued El-Kissane
